Research the course or program and check the respective institutions websites for details about the same. Learn online about the contents, structure of course, duration, special requirements and other eligibility conditions.
Selection and Applying
Once you’re through with the details and other information pertaining to the course and institution, select your program- bachelor, master or doctoral degree program, location of study and study mode. Check admission requirements for the desired course of study and institution-Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences, Private Universities, and University Colleges. Once you fulfil all criteria set, apply before the deadline.

Language Requirements
German Language Proficiency:
The most prevalent language of teaching at Austrian universities is German, candidates need to demonstrate their level of expertise of the German language. This can be done by submitting the results obtained at school examinations if you studied German as part of your course of study or by submitting German language courses diplomas, such as the

English Language Proficiency
If the language of instruction of your course is English, you are required to demonstrate your level of command of English. If you are a non-English native speaker you are required to take an English proficiency exam in order determine your English level
- TOEFL-Test of English as a Foreign Language: Internet Based (iBT) minimum score required is 60 for Bachelor degree and 76 for Master degree
- IELTS- International English Language Testing System: The minimum Score required is 6.0 for Bachelor and Master Degree students.
Apply to Accredited Institutions

accreditation. The accrediting authority checks the quality of studies and higher education institutions.
Apply for Scholarships and Visa
Check about the different
scholarships or
grants available in Austria. Visit the official website and know about the dates and deadlines.
After getting admission, apply for a visa at the competent Austrian representative authority at your place of residence. Read the
visa details thoroughly and apply on time with necessary documentation work.
